Founded in 1973, Pro-Tec is the original skateboard protective gear brand. From concrete pools in California to the epic runs of the Colorado Rockies, Pro-Tec embraces while aggressively looking for new innovative designs for protective headwear. So whether you’re a backcountry powder-hound, a handrail destroyer, or an everyday resort cruiser just learning to shred, Pro-Tec’s extensive line of helmets caters to any rider who wants the classic Pro-Tec look with proven protection.
The Old School was modified from the original 1973 Full-Tec and Pro Skateboarder Bucky Lasek popularized it with his signature translucent colors in the very flexible HDPE plastic. The more round shape almost molds to any shape head. It’s known for its deep fit and aggressively low silhouette. The Old School available in ABS plastic still carries the low profile and look while allowing for new graphic opportunities. Both feature our 2-stage premium Dri-Lex wrapped liner that everyone loves for its comfort and moisture wicking properties.
